The best ADHD planners for 2027: four apps, and what each one is for

Four ADHD planner apps for 2027, with what each one costs, what each is built around, and who it suits.

According to US Google Trends, searches for “ADHD planner” grew faster over the past twelve months than searches for “daily planner”. This is a comparison of four ADHD planner apps for 2027, with what each one costs, what each is built around, and what kind of mind it suits.

Every price and feature here was read from the maker’s own website on 29 September 2026. Prices move, and some of these apps show a different price in each country, so check before you buy.

One disclosure up front: the last one is ours. It is marked, and it is described the same way as the others.

What an ADHD planner has to do

Before the list, the test. An ADHD planner earns its place when it does five things:

  • Catches the thought in the seconds before it is gone
  • Is useful before anything has been set up
  • Shows one thing to start with, not twenty equal ones
  • Keeps the record when a day is missed, instead of wiping it
  • Carries forward what did not get done, without copying it out

No planner does all five equally well. The four below go about them in very different ways, and that is most of what follows.

Tiimo — the visual planner with timers

Tiimo’s pricing page describes it as a visual daily planner designed to support neurodivergent brains, and its home page says it was built by and for neurodivergent people. The day becomes a visual timeline, a countdown shows time passing, and its AI breaks a task into steps with time estimates. Widgets show what is next without opening the app. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Android and the web.

Pricing, read on tiimoapp.com on 29 September 2026: there is a free version with a selection of planning tools, on the iOS and Android apps only, not the web app, and a 7-day free trial of Tiimo Pro when you buy a yearly subscription. Tiimo’s pricing page does not show a price. It says prices may vary slightly by location, that the local price is shown at checkout in the App Store, Google Play or on the web, and that you can pay monthly or save by paying for a year.

Who it suits: someone who needs to see time passing, and who plans better from a picture of the day than from a list.

Sunsama — the guided daily planning ritual

Sunsama calls itself the digital daily planner that helps you feel calm and stay focused. You start the day by choosing what fits, and end it with a daily shutdown. It pulls tasks in from the tools you already use, among them Asana, ClickUp, Gmail, Google Calendar, Jira, Notion, Outlook, Slack, Todoist and Trello. It runs on iPhone and iPad, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux.

Pricing, read on sunsama.com on 29 September 2026: $17 per month billed yearly, or $22 per month billed monthly. The FAQ adds that if you invite colleagues to your workspace, Sunsama costs $25 a month per person, $20 a month on yearly plans. There is a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. Its pricing manifesto says Sunsama “doesn’t have a free forever plan and doesn’t plan to”, and that it charges a subscription instead of a one-time fee.

Who it suits: someone whose day already runs across work tools, and who wants a guided start and finish to it.

Structured — the timeline, free to start

Structured puts tasks, calendar events and focus sessions on one timeline, so the day fills up as blocks you can see. It runs on iPhone, Android and the web. The app can always be used for free. Structured Pro adds Structured AI, calendar import, recurring tasks and Replan, among others, some of them on some platforms only.

Pricing on 29 September 2026: Structured does not publish a price on its website. Its help pages say Pro pricing depends on your region, your currency and the purchasing power of your region. They point you to the paywall inside the app or to your app store, where Pro is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

Who it suits: someone who thinks in a timeline rather than a list, and wants to use the free version before paying for anything.

VoiceFirstPlanner — ours, and we’ll say so

A daily planner you talk to. One tap and you say it; the task is captured, dated and filed in an A, B or C band. One thing is pinned as the day’s focus. Anything unfinished rolls forward on its own, with nothing to rewrite. Habits keep your best run in view, and one missed day is forgiven. It runs in a browser, on a phone, an iPad or a desktop, with nothing to install.

With Pro, the brain dump: say everything on your mind at once, and it comes back sorted into dated tasks and appointments. Nothing goes into the planner until you say yes.

Pricing on 29 September 2026: free to start, with no card. It is a working planner with limits, not a trial. Premium is $3.99 a month billed annually at $47.88, or $7.99 month to month, and takes every limit off. Pro is $7.42 a month billed annually at $89, or $12.99 month to month, and adds the AI layer. Lifetime is $99 once, for the first 1,000 accounts.

Who it suits: someone whose thoughts arrive faster than they can be typed, and who would rather say it than set anything up.

Picture, ritual, timeline or voice?

Three of these four show you the day. Tiimo and Structured draw it as a timeline, and Tiimo adds a clock you can watch. Sunsama walks you into the day and out of it again.

The fourth one catches the day as it is said. That matters most when the problem is not seeing the plan but getting the thought down before it goes.

So the honest answer for 2027: if you plan from a picture, start with one of the timelines. If your day is already spread across work tools, look at the ritual. If the thought is gone by the time the app opens, look at a planner you can talk to.

Common questions

What is the best ADHD planner for 2027?

The one that matches how your day goes wrong. If time slips away unseen, a visual planner with timers like Tiimo. If the day is scattered across work tools, a guided ritual like Sunsama. If you think in blocks, a timeline like Structured. If thoughts vanish before they are written down, a planner you talk to.

Which ADHD planner apps have a free version?

Tiimo has a free version on its iOS and Android apps, and a 7-day trial of Pro with a yearly plan. Structured can always be used for free. VoiceFirstPlanner is free to start with no card. Sunsama has a 14-day trial but, in its own words, no free forever plan.

How much does an ADHD planner app cost?

Sunsama’s pricing panel gives $17 a month billed yearly or $22 billed monthly. Tiimo and Structured do not publish prices on their websites; they show them at checkout, in the app or in the app store, and the prices vary by country. VoiceFirstPlanner is free to start, with Premium at $3.99 a month billed annually at $47.88, or $7.99 month to month.

Can I plan my day by talking instead of typing?

Yes. VoiceFirstPlanner is a daily planner you talk to: say the task or the appointment, and it is captured, dated and filed. It runs in a browser, with nothing to install.

Whichever you choose for 2027, choose the one you will still open on a bad day.

VoiceFirstPlanner is free to start — no card, no clock.
